• There is a free Dispute Settlement Service provided by Los
Angeles County. The Los Angeles
County Dispute Settlement Service is funded by the County of Los Angeles
Dispute Resolution Program Special Funds and provides mediation free of
cost to those interested. In utilizing the service,
you may be able to settle your dispute without having to go to court.
You will play an active roll in resolving your dispute and work
with a trained mediator in order that both sides may reach an agreement. Again, there is no mediation
fee or cost to either side. If
you can’t make a fair deal, you still have the right to take the case
to court. For more information
